Comfort Zones

Sometimes, I wonder why do we need to step out of our comfort zones.

We've been told to step out of it to achieve "success", and let's be real here, the definition of "success" is pretty much your typical Wall Street broker, drinking wine and eating caviar while getting interviewed by Forbes.

I mean, sure you can do as much challenges as you like, but I'm a man who does not like uncertainty at all. Why put unnecessary burden on yourself when life itself is already hard enough.

People always tell us that you need to follow (insert any famous billionaire's name here) routine and you'll be just like them someday. But let's say everyone followed that and become successful, does that really make you successful. Most of the times, success is comparative, when everyone is successful, nobody is successful.

To be fair, some of the habits are actually good and there's no harm of implementing it in your life. But that doesn't mean that it's the only way of living, be bold, live dangerously might sound exciting to some, but I prefer to stay at home, watching my favourite shows while holding a can of Pringles in my hand.

I guess my point is there's nothing wrong with stepping out of your comfort zone, but don't treat it as it is the only way of living. We're all different, you don't need to do it just because the society tells you so.
